We're almost senior citizens! Do we still get the discount?The common yardstick that the age of a dog equals seven human years is not very accurate as a dog's actual age depends upon their size.  Medium and large breed dogs are generally considered to have moved into the senior phase of their life at around seven years, giant breeds at around five years, and small breeds at around ten years of age.  Although Calculations will vary depending upon the many variables unique to each animal the chart below shows the relative average age of a dog or cat in human years.
